Summary:  inspired to bring some of them back to India with him. One of the most notable of these artists was Mir Sayyid Ali, who was commissioned by Shah Tahmasp to illustrate the Romance of Hamzah. These illustrations are considered some of the earliest works of the Moghul School and have had a significant impact on Indian painting. Shah Tahmasp's reign was marked by conflict with the Ottoman Turks and internal rebellions, leading to a turbulent period for Persia. Despite his troubled reign, Tahmasp's patronage of the arts, especially in the field of painting, had a lasting influence on the artistic traditions of both Persia and India.
